The International Working Group on international marine insurance law is currently concentrating on the sections of international conventions, which relate to the compulsory insurance. For these insurances various questions arise in practice with regard to the implementation by the respective authorities, e.g.:
Do the authorities have to check the individual insurance coverage and policies?
Do the authorities also have to check insurance policies which are renewed and ensure that during their supervision and approval period the policies are kept at the level required by the respective authority?

Conference «Introduction to the general principles of international maritime law»
